Job Description

SNI has partnered with a reputable music company in Hartford County looking for a Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join their growing team. 

Responsibilities:

Payroll:

  • Process biweekly, multi-state US payroll.

  • Review and validate timesheet changes with managers.

  • Collaborate with HR on employee changes and resolve schedule issues.

  • Process wage garnishments and complete documentation.

  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of payroll, analyze variances.

  • Support new state payroll tax setup.

  • Validate vacation and personal time balances.

  • Produce and analyze Excel reports.

  • Assist with year-end preparation (W2, 1095-C) and compliance reporting.

  • Conduct regular payroll audits.

  • Process Canadian payroll as needed.

Benefits:

  • Verify and process qualifying event changes and COBRA administration.

  • Reconcile monthly group insurance invoices.

  • Provide support during annual Open Enrollment.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years proven experience as payroll specialist, with a good understanding of year-end reporting.

  • Proven experience managing the Company's benefits offering; including enrollment of new employees, open enrollment, reconciliation of invoices, etc.

  • Experience working with employees in multiple states (Connecticut, California, New York, is a plus)

  • Experience with HRIS (Ceridian Dayforce is a plus)

  • Experience with wage attachments and garnishments
