QC Analyst
Job Summary
The Quality Analyst performs loan level reviews citing exceptions to Performance Work Standards and Acceptable Quality Levels as described in the HUD contract and HECM Quality Control Plan. Reports will summarize the exception description and responsible area or employee. Findings will be submitted to the management team for the area reviewed to determine root cause and corrective action as appropriate. Analyst will provide feedback to improve operational performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Reviews will include call monitoring to validate the staff handled the call according to business requirements and applicable call scripts.
Job Purpose/Summary
o The QC Analyst is responsible for reviewing, evaluating, and making recommendations for correction or improvement of the internal operational control process. The position requires contact with employees at all levels. This position conducts monthly, quarterly, and annual audits under the supervision of the QC Manager and has access to a high level of confidential materials and information.
Duties and responsibilities
o Sample and identify populations of mortgages that require review.
o Conduct periodic file reviews inclusive of:
• Core file reviews as dictated by HUD;
• Targeted reviews of high-risk areas;
• Operational reviews of the organization and vendors; and
• Other reviews as identified by management.
1. Work with business units and vendors to reconcile issues and identify areas of weakness or high risk in order to protect the organization from unacceptable risk.
2. Determine the root cause of deficiencies and work with other business units to create and implement action plans to reduce defects.
3. Maintain the quality control test plan and update in compliance with HUD contract.
4. Build strong interpersonal relationships with Compu-Link Team to ensure accurate and timely completion of duties
Qualifications
Education
1. High school diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred
Experience/Training
1. No less than five years of related experience in quality control, or audit related roles preferably in mortgage servicing
2. Reverse Mortgage servicing experience a plus
