SNI Companies is working with a financial services company located in Ocean County, NJ who is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst/Accountant to join their financial team. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting complex financial analysis and providing insights to support strategic decision-making within our organization
You will play a key role in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and performance analysis
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of financial markets, excellent analytical skills, and a proven track record of delivering actionable insights to stakeholders.
Responsibilities: - Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and scenario modeling, to support strategic planning and business decisions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial projections
- Proficient knowledge of general ledger accounting and accounts payable functions, GAAP, and financial reporting, including regulatory reporting
- Working knowledge of Allowance for Loan and Lease Loss (ALLL)
- Analyze financial statements and key performance indicators to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
- Reconciles general ledger accounts; prepares journal entries to close the general ledger monthly
- Oversees the development and startup of the Asset Liability Management system for producing quarterly reports for ALCO
- Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and decision-making
- Prepare and present financial reports and presentations to senior management and stakeholders
- Monitor industry trends, economic conditions, and market developments to assess their impact on the company's financial performance
- Participate in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts and support their professional growth
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in the banking or financial services sector
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau)
- Experience working in Fiserv a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements relevant to the banking and financial services industry
