Controller

Accounting Now Loveland, CO (Onsite) Full-Time


Position Overview:

The Finance Lead holds a senior leadership role with full accountability for guiding the organization’s monetary strategy and operational finance functions. This individual ensures accurate recordkeeping, regulatory adherence, and consistency with group-wide financial standards. They will drive financial transparency through effective reporting, analysis, and internal oversight.




Key Duties:

  • Reporting & Compliance: Generate comprehensive financial summaries and strategic projections, ensuring alignment with accounting frameworks and legal standards.

  • Financial Planning: Shape and monitor spending plans, evaluate performance against targets, and create forward-looking financial models.

  • Accounting Oversight: Direct core accounting activities, covering payments, receivables, payroll-related processes, and tax obligations.

  • Control Environment: Design and implement robust systems to prevent financial discrepancies and protect company resources.

  • Audit Facilitation: Serve as the main contact for internal and third-party reviews, overseeing preparation and response.

  • Leadership & Development: Guide and support the finance team through mentorship and hands-on leadership.

  • Data Interpretation: Examine fiscal data to uncover patterns and offer strategic suggestions to enhance company outcomes.

  • Executive Partnership: Maintain open communication with the CFO and senior executives to provide timely updates and insights.

  • Legal Alignment: Monitor and apply evolving financial laws and policies to ensure continuous organizational compliance.

  • Close Cycles: Organize and execute scheduled financial closures each month, quarter, and year with accuracy and timeliness.

  • Liquidity Management: Create and maintain forecasts for incoming and outgoing cash to maintain healthy operational liquidity.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with company leaders across departments, divisions, and international locations.

  • External Relations: Serve as liaison with banking partners, auditors, government agencies, and insurance providers.

  • Control Systems Monitoring: Ensure implementation and consistent review of risk and compliance frameworks in line with group expectations.




Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related area (mandatory)

  • Advanced degree in a financial discipline is an asset

  • Minimum 10 years in professional financial roles, with 5+ years in an upper-management or leadership position

  • Prior experience with strategic planning, corporate finance, and performance analysis—ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting

  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, communicate clearly, and collaborate across departments

  • Strong working knowledge of financial rules, tax regulations, and financial control mechanisms

  • Skilled in enterprise financial platforms (preferably SAP B1) and advanced spreadsheet usage

  • Analytical mindset with sound judgment for high-stakes decision-making

  • Experience coordinating across multiple geographies and international markets

  • Full-time, on-site role with an expectation of a minimum 40-hour workweek
