This role is 100% working in-person, located in Middlesex County.
Responsibilities:
- Record Transactions: Accurately record and categorize all financial transactions, including income, expenses, and bank deposits, into QuickBooks
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for and discrepancies are resolved promptly
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice generation, payment processing, and tracking outstanding balances
- Financial Reporting: Generate financial reports using QuickBooks, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into the company's financial health
- Tax Preparation: Assist in the preparation of financial data for tax filings and work with external accountants as needed
- Expense Management: Monitor and control expenses, ensuring adherence to the budget and cost-saving opportunities are identified
- Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
Provide recommendations to management based on financial analysis
- Documentation: Maintain organized and accurate financial records, ensuring all documents are filed appropriately and in compliance with relevant regulations
- Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations as required
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise (Desktop) and Microsoft Excel
- 2 years of Bookkeeping experience
