Accounts Payable/Accounting

Accounting Now Princeton, NJ (Onsite) Contractor
A non profit in Somerset County is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist with some accounting experience.
  • Assist with all activities related to timely processing and recording of accounts payable (AP).  Including EFT, online checks and manual checks
  • Prepare A/P Aging report and evaluate possible needs for action.
  • Communication of any observed irregularities to the Director of Finance and/or member of the financial services team
  • Prepare journal entries to record transactions
  • Preparation of annual 1099’s for distribution.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports for analysis as needed.
  • Filing and other clerical work, as needed
  • Performs actual purchase of supplies and food as well as preparation/coordination of payments.
  • Maintains an up-to-date listing of all supplies and food needed and properly categorize them by use, program/department, movement, volume, value and some other measure.
  • Escalates issues to supervisor for resolution, as deemed necessary.

Must have: Experience with an accounting system (ERP), preference to Sage MIP experience
Must have: Experience in processing accounts payable invoices, recording A/P payments, recording A/P accruals, etc.
Preferred skills: Pivot Tables, VLookups and HLookups
