SNI Companies is working with a Business Services company located in Middlesex County, NJ who is seeking an Accounting Clerk. The Accounting Clerk will work with the accounting team and assist with A/P and bookkeeping duties. This role is 100% person working on site.

- Process check requests and provide check copies of inquiries as needed.
- Process weekly California Tax payments and assist with any state or federal payroll audit.
- Conduct Stop Payments on payroll checks as needed and general banking inquiries.
- Investigate and resolve returned items from bank partners.
- Conduct credit card analysis and process expense reports.
- Provide detailed analyses and explanations of transactions as needed.
- Utilize financial System to account for all debits/credits and ensure proper documentation has been included.
- Process drawdown requests.
- Process monthly commissions.
- Assist with maintaining SUTA rates in the accounting system.
- Help with month-end preparation, processing, closing, and reporting.
- Process EFT transactions and check requests.
- Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the manager's discretion.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree, preferred in Accounting or Finance.
- 2-5 in similar accounting position
- Experience applying financial accounting practices.
- Experience with Accounting software and basic accounting functions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and display initiative.
