Staff Accountant- Edison NJ

Location: Edison, NJ 

We're a growing logistics company seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in our Edison, NJ] office. In this role, you'll be responsible for day-to-day general accounting functions, helping to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of our financial data.

• Prepare and process payment templates, verifying accuracy of wire instructions and monitoring bank balances.

• Generate daily cash projections.

• Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice verification, coding, and approval.

• Reconcile monthly vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate and timely financial recording.

• Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of cash transactions and balances.

• Track and report on daily sales activities, verifying revenue records.

• Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.

• Collaborate with other departments, including sales and management, to support financial operations and reporting.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably within the Freight Forwarding industry.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

• Proficiency with SAP accounting software.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to meet deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Knowledge of inventory and cost accounting is a plus.
