Our boutique real estate, hospitality and marina company is growing and we are looking for a capable, diligent Accounting Clerk to work closely with our Controller. Responsibilities include assisting with the accounting operations of the organization, as well as cash management and risk management. This successful candidate will also aid in budget management, financial analysis, accounts payable, accounts receivable and financial reporting. Based in an office setting in Charlestown, this individual must deliver precise information under strict deadlines. The ideal candidate for the Accounting Clerk position is bright, attentive, and efficient with self-assurance and the ability to complete work skillfully with minimal supervision. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional who thrives in a busy work place and is well-versed in closely working with ownership.

Primary Responsibilities:
Balancing multiple entities' bank accounts

Assist in reconciling monthly and quarterly financial statements and providing subsequent reporting

Various A/P functions including entering invoices into A/P system, purchase order recordkeeping, and the payment of bills

Assist in cash flow management, including direct contact with customers and suppliers

Various A/R functions including the application of payments to customer accounts

Miscellaneous financial and ad hoc reporting

Various office tasks

Positive attitude and eagerness to succeed

4 year college degree (accounting preferred, but not required)

Strong computer skills (experience with Quickbooks preferred or other accounting software desired)

Excellent teamwork and communication skills

This individual will interface with all levels of staff and management and must have the ability to forge effective relationships while maintaining strong communication skills. Proven ability to exercise discretion in all matters and be prudent when handling confidential information. Resourcefulness, consistent follow-through abilities, exceptional organization, and time management skills are critical as this individual will have to balance a multitude of tasks throughout the day while multi-tasking and adjusting priorities as needed. Will also perform other business-related tasks.
