Job Description

Job Summary
The Accounting Manager is located in our New Hampshire plant and will also serve our Ohio plant both remotely and on site. You will manage a team of 5-6 employees split between NH and OH. You will report directly to our Controller (located in New Hampshire) and also work closely with our CFO.
The Accounting Manager is responsible for the integrity and review of the accounting records under U.S. GAAP, including entity level, segment reporting, and consolidation. You also own the integrity of the internal financial reporting package and pre-reads which guide senior management decision making on a monthly basis. You will be responsible for the management, execution, and delegation, of month-end close activities and you will "roll up your sleeves" regarding account reconciliation, journal entry preparation and posting, preparation of balance sheet account rollforwards, and preparation of the monthly financial packages. You will manage your staff to meet monthly, quarterly, and weekly deadlines while maintaining the accuracy of the books and records. In 2018, you will lead the initiative to early implement ASC 842 and 606. You will also manage the year-end external audit (in coordination with the Controller) including preparing supporting documents, monitoring progress with our audit firm, and drafting the preliminary audited financial statements.
This position will professionally advise senior-level management including frequent interaction with the Company's CFO and Controller, which requires strong written and verbal interpersonal communication skills.
This is a great opportunity for a CPA looking to gain hands on experience in ASC 842 and 606 while managing a multi-location finance department in a fast-paced and growing company.
