Job Description

Accounting Now has an immediate opening for an Accounting Clerk/HR:
This position is responsible for performing a variety of administrative functions related primarily to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. Responsibilities include proper and timely input of data, processing vendor invoices, customer payments and credit cards, balancing GL accounts, preparing spreadsheets, analyzing reports and providing backup support for Human Resources and Payroll. Position requires 40-45 hours per week with additional overtime required seasonally.
Successful candidates must have the following skills:

  • Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Office with focus on Excel
  • Ability to use judgment to analyze facts and determine necessary actions in relation to accounting
  • Have superior organizational skills and the ability to set priorities, work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Requires high degree of tact and discretion in the handling of confidential materials
  • Above average math skills to include the ability to accurately calculate figures and totals
  • Ability to use variety of office equipment such as computer, keyboard, calculator, mailing machine, photocopier, fax, and multiple line phone system
  • Ability to multi task and maintain a high level of attention to detail
  • Must be able to work overtime when needed
  • Associates Degree or minimum of 1-3 years related accounting experience preferred
