Job Description

Accounting Now has partnered with a technology company that is seeking a self-starter to work within the administrative department. The position requires strong accounting knowledge but is not predominately an accounting position. The administrative team is a strong support for all management and departments within a small company and they wear many hats.
Responsibilities include:

  • Primary backup to front desk on answering and directing incoming calls
  • Cross training with other administrative staff on A/R, A/P, collections, sales tax, and other proprietary functions.
  • Taking on accounting and administrative projects as directed by management and other administrative staff
  • Assisting other departments with a variety of necessary tasks within designated timelines
  • Maintaining customer and vendor files
  • Willingness to ease with frequently changing daily job functions and tasks

Requirements include:

  • Strong accounting knowledge (2+ years)
  • Solid sense of urgency while preserving attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Work well independently and as part of a team (company culture is extremely important)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office product, namely Excel
  • Knowledge of Peachtree software is preferred, not required

The position is Monday thru Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
