Our client, an established and growing Food Manufacturing company, is seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join their team!

The Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for cash application activities by verifying/posting receipts and resolving discrepancies; new account set-ups to insure correct order fulfillment and billing.

The AR Clerk is responsible for monitoring and processing all accounting holds, performing account reconciliation, generating and sending invoices as needed and providing clerical and administrative support to management.

Primary AR Responsibilities:

  • Process and calculate invoices
  • Post all invoices and collections in a timely manner
  • Collect past due balances
  • Receive wires and checks for deposit
  • Assist team members, as needed, to meet all department deadlines
  • Ensure electronic files are properly saved/organized
  • Assist with investigating and resolving billing discrepancies
  • Maintain accounting, statistical and financial records included in the functions of AP and AR



Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 to 2 years of Accounts Receivable (AR) & general ledger (GL) account experience
  • Knowledge of basic office administration procedures
  • General bookkeeping procedures
  • General accounting principals
  • Proficient in relevant computer and accounting software
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable accounts receivable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and corporate procedures
  • Organizational and Time Management skills
  • Proficient Data Entry, 10-key by touch and General Math Skills
  • Attention to detail, well organized and self-starter
  • Documenting and reporting research results
  • Verbal & written communication skills
  • At least 2 years of collections experience to include billing, and cash application.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficient in Excel/Word.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Basic understanding of fundamental accounting skills.
