Job Title: Associate Product Manager

This position is responsible for assisting in the management of assigned products in the portfolio throughout the product lifecycle from planning through execution in support of company strategy and operating plans. This includes assisting in the development and execution of activities related to medical marketing, pricing, promotion, packaging, digital and direct to consumer advertising. Additionally, this role may assist in the development of core work processes and marketing management systems.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in executing assigned product growth and profitability strategies and operating plans
  • Responsible for accumulating, routing and monitoring for approval required information for various brand and company projects as assigned
  • Sales/Marketing liaison to assist production, logistics and purchasing for product/package changes and new product introductions
  • Coordinates with leadership team to provide/confirm forecast projections and updates for assigned categories and products
  • Assists leadership team in monitoring budgets by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
  • Assists in preparing pricing/ project costing requests including analysis of cost and timing factors
  • Assists in daily customer service activities and meetings identifying and working to resolve any product/customers issues.
  • Supports the execution of trade shows and grass roots events
  • Conducts ongoing communications with cross-company teams to ensure optimal execution of projects
  • Assists in the coordination, routing and monitoring of various creative development activities in conjunction with consumer, medical and digital agencies as assigned



Minimum Job Requirements:

Education/Certifications:

  • Minimum requirement of a Bachelor's Degree in business or marketing; MBA or post graduate work in marketing would be a plus



Experience:

  • 3-5 years' experience in marketing preferably in the consumer products industry



Knowledge, Skills and Abilites:

  • Proficient use of PC-based Microsoft applications, including Excel Pivot Tables and Power Point
  • Mathematics/business analysis and project management skills
  • Knowledge of product development/commercialization processes
  • Thorough problem solving skills with a demonstrated ability to work independently using appropriate judgment in all business related decisions/actions
  • Understanding of retail information databases (i.e., IRI, Nielson, Retail Link)
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, R&D, Finance, Operations and Quality Assurance
  • Demonstrated ability to manage changing priorities in a lean, fast moving environment while meeting agreed to deadlines
  • Effective communicator with strong verbal, written and presentation skills
