Job Description


Major Responsibilities:

  • Contact customers with outstanding balances via telephone & e-mail to investigate root cause(s) of non-payment
  • Independently research and resolve billing and/or payment discrepancies
  • Collaborate & coordinate action steps with Summit's corporate and/or regional office personnel
  • Apply customer payments daily, via lockbox import
  • Prepare daily deposits online and enter receipts into system
  • Coordinate monthly automated statements release, and responsible for the follow-up
  • Generate reports as necessary, as well as other duties as assigned by manager (i.e. audit support, etc.)
  • Implementation of best practices, as well as other efficiencies (i.e. automation)


Position Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in office environment, preferably in the accounting department
  • Business to business professional services industry experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft office software, especially Excel
  • organizational skills along with excellent oral and written communication ability
  • Excellent attention to detail, and works well in a team environment
  • Familiarity with pricing within Prevailing Wage / Federal / State / Municipal / Union guidelines a plus
  • Willingness and ability to work in a fast-paced environment while setting priorities, managing diversity of job responsibilities with effective organizational skills
