Job Description


The Bookkeeper position is role in which attention to detail, time-management, and communication skills will be needed to apply accounting knowledge in the areas of accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing and invoicing, and general Project Manager support.

Position Details. Full-time Bookkeeper for fast-paced, mid-size architectural firm. Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.

Reports to/Accountability. Outside Accountant/Project Managers


  • Assist with accounts receivable and payable functions
  • Monthly reporting of expenses and hours worked for each engagement
  • Create, confirm and send out invoices with detail reports in a timely manner
  • Enter and code vendor bills in database and maintain accurate records for final approval by the Managing Partner
  • Provide budget support using Ajera to report and track activity
  • Review WIP against budget
  • Escalate issues to outside accountant
  • Other tasks and project management support as required

Qualifications, Experience, and Personal Attributes.

  • 2+ years' bookkeeping experience
  • Experience using bookkeeping software, direct experience with Ajera a plus
  • Direct experience within the A/E industry preferred
  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience
