Credit & Collections Analyst
Full Time

SNI Companies has partnered with a well known Energy company in the Houston area looking to hire a Credit & Collections Analyst. The role requires the individual to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, in addition to challenging the status quo and drive quality improvements while promoting high standards. Annual Base salary is $45,000

Responsibilities

  • Research and reconcile customer accounts, including correct billing errors, misapplied cash, request account adjustments, process fee reversals, and administer settlements write-off recommendations
  • Prepare various ad-hoc reports and complete daily assignments
  • Take an active role in cross-functional teams and participate in special projects
  • Mitigate bad debt by monitoring AR aging, completing daily work queues and maximize collections on delinquent accounts
  • Work closely with Customer Care, Billings, Operations, Sales, and other departments and assist with customer related requests and past due/collection issues
  • Document workflow processes and provide detailed notations in collection system
  • Audit various processes and provide feedback to generate improvements
  • QA processes to ensure quality products and services. Enter error logs where appropriate
  • Proactive in identifying opportunities and continuous improvements to achieve best in class business practices



Qualifications

  • College degree in Accounting/Finance or related work experience
  • 1-3 years related work experience preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) speaking preferred
  • Ability to define and solve complex problems, identify solutions, and follow through to completion
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple duties/responsibilities assigned
  • Actively participate and communicate in team-based work groups
  • Ability to effectively handle escalated customer issues/concerns to prevent complaints
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suites, with focus on Excel and ability learn new applications and software
  • Goal-oriented and motivated self-learner
  • Ability to work and adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment
