Customer Service Representative

This is a challenging position that involves managing the details of our customers' projects, working with the customer to help them understand the transportation process, and working with our team at Premier to make sure we deliver on all of our commitments to the customer.

Occasionally, this position requires dealing with difficult or upset customers.

Industry experience is not a requirement as we will teach you everything you need to know during a 2 to 3 month training period.

Customer Service Job Responsibilities

A Customer Service Representative is primarily responsible for delivering an excellent customer service experience to our customers.

Daily responsibilities in pursuit of this goal include:

  • Customer Service Compensation
  • FreightManagement - Organize all aspects of the customers project, including inventory control, receiving paperwork, and delivery schedules.
  • Registering Orders - Set up all details of customer's project in our computer systems.
  • Scheduling Transportation - Work with our clients to schedule the appropriate form of transportation based on their need.
  • Base salary - $37,000 - $42,000

Job Requirements

Customer Service Qualifications

  • Solid intelligence with superior problem solving ability
  • Ability to be a compassionate counselor for our customers, including times when they are difficult to deal with or upset
  • Work hours are generally 8 - 5, with one hour lunch. Longer hours may occasionally be required if they are necessary to get the job done
  • This position is located at our Tewksbury, MA office
  • Bachelor's Degree is a plus
