FP&A Analyst

Job Objective:


Plays key role in budgeting, forecasting and adhoc reporting to support decision-making, planning and deliverables of the Corporate Finance organization. Analyzes data using a variety of analytical platforms and business intelligence tools. Liaises with business, finance and risk partners to assist in creating a unified forecasting process for various purposes within the organization. Maintains comprehensive practices and transparent supporting documentation in compliance with internal audit, management reporting and/or regulatory standards.



Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, while building a business partner relationship with key stakeholders.
  • Analyze actual results vs. budgets/forecasts.
  • Review and approve R&D allocations for project costs (the Velcro acronym is ITC).
  • Carry out bonus/performance calculations; track and measure forgiveness items.
  • Perform analyses of volumes, costs and operating expenses on monthly basis.
  • Provide analysis of capital requests (above certain budget level) and prepare for CEO and/or Board approval.
  • Create APE project control system to collect all costs to-date on major capital projects.
  • Develop analysis to support assessment and challenges of the forecasting approach/assumptions and deliver adequate information to support effective challenges at the board and management levels.
  • Develop business functional requirements and tools/reporting dashboards for finance forecasting with a goal toward unification of forecasting processes.
  • Work with cross functional teams to ensure consistency and reconciliation with relevant planning and reporting data and processes.
  • Assist in developing/shaping strategies for modeling design, development, validation, implementation, monitoring and reporting.
  • Produce and maintain robust documentation of all tools, related processes and controls.
  • Provide routine cost center reporting, as well as other routine reporting and analysis.


Qualifications:

  • B,Sc. or M.Sc. in Accounting
  • 5 years of experience or 2-4 years of recent "Big 4/few" public accounting
