Our client is searching for a Head of Global Strategic Pricing to support our Consumer Health & Nutrition department. The Head of Global Strategic Pricing is responsible to drive Consumer Health & Nutrition's global pricing strategy and process. This role had been shared with CDS, but dedicated resources are now required for CHN. This hands-on commercial leader will design, implement, maintain and review CHN's global pricing practices and tools for its products and services, in a manner consistent with achieving the company's sales, margins and brand positioning objectives. In addition, the Head of Strategic Pricing will drive various projects to further define CHN's global pricing and value selling technology and processes.

Working with minimal direction, and in close partnership with the Sales, Marketing, Customer Service and Operations organization, the primary responsibilities of this role will be to:

  • Evaluate, set and lead CHN's annual global price-mix goals and strategy.
  • Develop, implement, manage and maintain the appropriate infrastructure required to effectively execute and monitor the pricing strategy
  • Set strategies for all elements of the pricing "waterfall", particularly focused on elements from invoice price to pocket price. Develop relevant pricing recommendations. Identify price leakage and develop pricing policies to maximize contribution margins; Lead price audits. Set and implement corrective measures
  • Work with the Regional Sales, Operations and Finance staff to support local customization of the CHN pricing strategy and policies.
  • Develop a sound understanding of market dynamics, including developing a program for the collection and analysis of competitive intelligence
  • Provide advice and analytical support to the Marketing and Business Development team relating to the pricing of new products and services and create and develop value maps for CHN products relative to competitive products
  • Manage global pricing communications strategies

Experience & Skill Sets:

  • 5+ years working in a leadership position in a business-to-business pricing manager role; or 3+ years working in the pricing practice of a top-tier consulting firm
  • Demonstrated command of modern business-to-business pricing theory and techniques.
  • Ability to work across and within cross-functional teams
  • Exceptional numerical and analytical skills with strong modeling experience, and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with and influence the commercial organization.
  • Proven ability to effectively handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to present factual data in a concise and organized manner
  • Strong computer skills (e.g., MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
