Job Description

SNI is looking for a contract Human Resources Generalist for five month contract engagement to cover a permanent employee's maternity leave.

The HR Generalist provides frontline, day-to-day support in administering human resources policies and programs covering a broad range of HR topics which include recruiting,
staffing & onboarding, employee interactions & support, performance management, training & development, site leadership and SAP utilization. Position also takes partners to
support worker's compensation, compensation, benefits, diversity & engagement initiatives, and policy interpretation. A large component of the role will be focused on recruitment and staffing of non-exempt and exempt outsourcing employees in multiple sites and remote locations.

Recruiting, staffing and onboarding:
- Partners with hiring manager and compensation team in creating and maintaining job descriptions.
- Engages in hands-on recruiting to strengthen and enhance the culture by supporting exempt and non-exempt recruiting efforts. Partners with Talent Acquisition to find the right talent,
conducts interviews, leads / participates in post-interview decision sessions. Provides critical feedback on candidates and skill sets against job requirements. Assists in building our brand
and is very involved in our college recruitment program.
- Responsible for all pre-employment screening to ensure the hiring of the highest level candidates.
- Partners with hiring manager, assists with onboarding new employees and assists with New Hire Orientation.

Employee Support:
- Responds to employee inquiries regarding policies and procedures, benefits, and performance management, and ensures compliance with internal controls and code of conduct requirements.

Performance Management:
- Acts as a consultant to managers in handling employee performance issues including decisions around disciplinary action and review of any related documentation prior to meeting with
- Ensures compliance with company policy, federal and state employment laws.
- Communicates to and consults with managers on annual performance review process and corresponding merit program.
- Partners with managers on retention, development and succession planning.
- Partners with managers to facilitate / coordinate employee training to meet immediate and future needs.

- Proficiently utilizes SAP and generates reports from HRIS system to provide key information to HR Leader, HR partners and assigned client group(s).
- Ensures accuracy and integrity of system data while executing tasks such as promotions, terminations and pay, title and reporting relationship changes.
- Assist in Immigration processes such as the H-1B and Green Card applications
- Partners timely and appropriately with key internal interfaces such as Employee Relations, Total Rewards (payroll, compensation, benefits), Legal, Risk & Compliance, and IT.

Employee Relations:
- Conducts employee investigations and exit meetings, where appropriate and as directed, including compiling documentation and conducting a review with HR Leader.
- Partners with Employee Relations as appropriate to interpret policies.
- Partners with Worker's Compensation as needed, executing on required actions.

Site Participation:
- Coordinates or facilitates site activities such as employee engagement and diversity initiatives.
- Champions corporate initiatives such as Wellness Program and annual United Way activities.
- Communicates information from both HR partners and HR initiatives within the site

Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Human Resources
- 3-5 years of experience in HR Assistant and / or HR Generalist experience preferred
- Facilitation/ Influencing: Utilizes strong collaboration and facilitation skills and an ability to influence (without authority) to accomplish set goals / objectives / metrics.
- Relationship Management: Establishes open, candid and trusting relationships with HR peer / partner and client groups - managers and employees. Encourages and challenges the status quo.
- Project / Task Management: Establishes and delivers initiatives, goals and objectives on time and deliverable to the satisfaction of stakeholders and team members.
- Organization: Maintains detailed and organized work environment to include: employee files, email and verbal responses, meeting preparation and follow-up. Effectively identifies and
prioritizes issues / topics and manages calendar timely and efficiently.
- Verbal and Written Communication: Able to clearly and professionally communicate all business and employee needs, changes and issues with partners and client groups. Maintain
confidentiality as appropriate.
- Presentation Skills: Able to create and deliver effective formal and informal presentations to client groups and partners.
