Job Description

We are looking fora Human Resources Generalist to join our growing team to support three (3) officelocations! This individual will provide administrative support and professionalguidance to the Human Resources Team, the Executive Team, and to all our employees.
Essential Dutiesand Responsibilities:

  • Focuses on providing exceptional customer service to all employees, at all times, by responding to queries and requests via phone, email, and in-person methods.
  • Provides support to the business from an operational perspective. Activities include, but are not limited to: distribution of paychecks, management of electronic and paper employee files, processing and monitoring all leaves of absence types, monitoring the accuracy of employee timecards, vacation requests, and attendance tracking when needed.
  • Provides support to all employees regarding annual open-enrolled benefit process and assists in addressing benefit-related questions from all employees at all levels throughout the year.
  • Prepares and coordinates all activities related to new hire pre-boarding, on-boarding and off-boarding. Activities include, but are not limited to: partnering with recruiting to ensure current list of incoming new hires, sending new hire paperwork, processing of I-9 verification, address benefits queries, involvement in exit interview process.
  • Ensure that the office has what is needed for employees to effectively do their job. Activities include, but are not limited to: tracking/ordering/monitoring of office supplies, assisting in maintaining a clean and healthy working space for all, helps plan, organize and execute company meetings for employees and/or clients.
  • Assists in creation, communication, and execution of all HR related initiatives around recognition and other impactful people-related programs.
  • Supports and advises local leadership and/or HR leadership and escalates potential issues and risks when appropriate.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Financial Responsibilities

  • A bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of Two (2+) years' experience in the HR field

Knowledge andSkills:
* Ability to exercise discretion in dealingwith sensitive and confidential matters.
* Requires prior knowledge of principles andpractices of human resources.
* Customer service minded individual withstrong administrative support abilities.
* Prior experience with an HRIS and/or otherPayroll-related database preferred.
* Must be detail oriented with the ability to prioritize,multi-task and work with agility.
* Ability to work independently and with ateam.
* Requires effective oral and writtencommunication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and computer literacy.
* Spanish language skills are highly preferredbut not required.
Physical Demands:
The physicaldemands described here are representative of those requirements employees mustmeet to perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonableaccommodations. While performing job functions, the employee is regularlyrequired to sit and stand, write, review and type reports, compile data, operatea personal computer or laptop, communicate, listen, and assessinformation. The employee may move aboutthe office complex, may travel to other office locations and may lift, push, pullor move 10-15 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to walk to thewarehouse or within the airport. This position may regularly travel domesticallyas this position does have multi-location responsibilities. Visual requirementsinclude distant, close and color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
The workenvironment characteristics described here are representative of those an employeeencounters while performing the essential functions of the job. The environmentincludes work inside/outside the office, travel to other offices domestically.A high noise level is possible if visiting the airport or offsite locations.
