Position Overview:
The Mortgage Modifications Analyst examines residential mortgages in pre-default or default for the potential of a temporary or permanent loan modifications such as HAMP, HARP or proprietary modifications. The role also utilizes general knowledge of various loans types such as Conventional, FHA, VA and USDA loans. This position must be familiar with modification information such as deferred balances, modification principal and interest payments.
Specific loan modifications expertise is required, but experience as a Mortgage/Loan Processor, Mortgage/Loan Servicer, Assistant, Underwriter, Jr. Underwriter, Loss Mitigation Specialist, Home Preservation, Foreclosure Specialist, Loan Officer, Processer QA/QC, Underwriter QA/QC (for Sr. Analyst) is applicable.
Must-Have Requirements:

  • 3+ years of recent and specific mortgage loan modifications experience
  • Ability to meet production and quality standards
  • College degree preferred with finance/banking background
  • Experience with a variety of modification types
  • Excellent PC skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Word & Excel)
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines while staying organized and paying close attention to detail
  • Ability to solve complex problems and work independently
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral)
