The Patient Accounts Representative is responsible for communicating with patients who have past due balances. The representative in this position is expected to provide an outstanding customer service experience for patients while providing helpful guidance towards solutions.


  • Collect past due balances from patients over the phone
  • Respond promptly to patient inquiries with clear communication and high-quality service
  • Conduct duties with empathy, support, respect, and professionalism at the core of every interaction
  • Evaluate and identify priority accounts
  • Document collection activity, post adjustments, and ensure balance accuracy for clinical staff to reference
  • Resolve billing discrepancies in timely manner
  • Protect patients' confidentiality
  • Handle a high volume of in and outbound calls to meet the needs of our patients


  • High School Graduate
  • Prior call center sales, collections & negotiations, or customer service experience preferred
  • Healthcare collection/billing reimbursement experience preferred
  • A driven and competitive yet compassionate personality
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills that enable our company to be positively represented to patients
  • Experience multi-tasking and working in multiple systems while fielding customer/patient inquiries
