Job Description

  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of all payroll data.
  • Interpret, clarify and implement contracts in order to process payroll activities for talent and union employees.
  • Prepare payroll journal entries to close accounting cycles.
  • Prepare monthly variance analysis for payroll accounts.
  • Prepare quarterly reports such as staffing analysis.
  • Prepare spreadsheets on payroll and payroll tax related matters for the Operating Plan.

  • Prepare payroll reports for local, state and federal government offices or unions as required

  • Associates degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
  • Must be familiar with payroll procedures, including journal entries, tax calculations and government reporting.
  • Must be able to enter and retrieve information from and operate an automated payroll system and review payroll reports.
  • Must be able to use spreadsheet and database programs.
  • Typically requires two to three years of payroll experience using an automated payroll system.
