Job Description

Payroll Coordinator

Role Responsibilities:

This role provides assistance across all functional areas regarding payroll processing and management.

The primary responsibilities are:

  • Responsible for overseeing and participating in the timely and accurate reporting and processing of bi-weekly payroll and bonus pay for multiple dealerships
  • Prepares input for each payroll including salary adjustments, special payments, employee deductions
  • Inputs accurate payroll data into computer payroll system
  • Reviews pay register for accuracy and completeness prior to transmittal
  • Respond to payroll related questions and requests (i.e. employment verifications, employee pay issues, unemployment verifications, income withholding, etc.)
  • Ensure that payroll is run in compliance with internal standards and government regulations
  • Partner with HR on employee onboarding, transfer and termination processes and pay related items
  • Assist with internal and external audit requirements
  • Collaborate with payroll service in order to ensure accurate processing and reporting and address any issues that arise
  • Responsible for compliance and reporting as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Role Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of payroll experience preferred
  • Prior experience with automated payroll system required; experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred
  • Possesses effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Is well organized and extremely detail oriented
  • Has a team oriented and "roll up your sleeves" attitude
  • Able to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Meets deadlines, prioritizes assignments, and multi-tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Has proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and general computer literacy
  • Demonstrates a solid work ethic and exhibits professional and acceptable behaviors at all times
  • Maintains a neat, professional appearance
  • College degree preferred
  • Holds valid driver's license
  • Able to pass background and drug screening
