Job Description

One of our valued clients is in need of a Payroll Specialist who is going to help with processing payroll as well as other payroll & other related duties.

  • collecting, compiling, entering, and processing employee payroll data
  • calculating and posting payroll deductions
  • issuing statements of earnings and deductions and reconciling employee deductions
  • Prepares contribution file for retirement plans in addition to monitoring all maintenance activity with record keeper including deferral, status, loan and withdrawals
  • Must maintain employee HR records including salary adjustments, address changes and benefit changes
  • Prepares management, regulatory and departmental reports
  • Verifies quarterly deposit filings
  • investigating and correcting payroll discrepancies and errors
  • updating payroll records and processing new employees, terminations, transfers and promotions
  • addressing employee's pay-related concerns and provide accurate payroll information

Other skills and qualities useful for this position:

  • At least three years of payroll experience
  • Associates degree preferred
  • strong attention to detail and accuracy are a must
  • Payroll software knowledge preferred
  • some HR and benefits functions
