Job Description


Position Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Operations, directs and coordinates the activities of production employees including planning and establishing work schedules and assignments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, direct, evaluate and control manufacturing operations
  • Supervise and motivate a team of workers, identifying training needs.
  • Monitor product standards and implement quality control programs.
  • Effectively communicate with office management, suppliers, vendors and other business-related contacts.
  • Review processing schedules and production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional, set clear expectations, and drive performance through accountability
  • Organize the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment
  • Use structured problem-solving techniques to determine root cause and apply appropriate countermeasures
  • Resolve quality issues to ensure consistent product quality
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree required, Bachelors' Degree preferred
  • Minimum of three (3+) years' experience in the field or related area preferred
  • Management experience required
  • Basic Mathematical skills required

Physical Demands:

Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of the job. The environment includes work inside/outside the office, travel to other offices domestically. A high noise level is possible within the warehouse area.
