Job Description


  • Generates purchase orders/amendments for parts, services and or special tools or equipment.
  • Performs data entry of all purchase orders.
  • Sends all new purchase orders to vendors.
  • Reviews requisitions.
  • Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability and delivery schedule.
  • Work with inventory team to ensure all deliveries satisfy the assigned purchase orders and report on any back-ordered or missing product.
  • Receives and contacts vendors to find out status of orders.
  • Contacts vendors with discrepancies with quantity and quality.
  • Assist the management team with maintaining proper levels of inventory


  • B.S. degree in business/supply chain management or equivalent
  • 3+ years of purchasing experience in manufacturing
  • ERP/MRP - Profit Key a plus
  • Master scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment a plus
