Job Description


This is a new position in the new Corporate Accounting and Reporting department. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to make his/her mark on a growing in-house function. The Sr Accountant is responsible for performing all daily, monthly, quarterly and annual accounting functions for all assigned areas. This position is also responsible for participating in monthly, quarterly and year-end financial closings, annual audit preparation and other special projects as requested by management. This individual may also be responsible for reviewing work of others within the department or from the company's divisions.
Essential Job Accountabilities:

  • Prepare and/or review monthly, quarterly and annual journal entries as needed
  • Perform account analysis and reconciliations
  • Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
  • Liaise with other accounting staff at Corporate or at operating companies
  • Maintain accounting policies and procedures and ensure that procedures are applied consistently
  • Execution of routine or ad hoc reporting
  • Participate in special projects and accounting research as needed and assigned
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • The position will be responsible for executing all aspects of accounting and reporting for assigned areas which may include the following:
    • Revenue
    • Internal Reporting
    • Technical Accounting
    • Intercompany
    • Debt and Interest
    • Corporate Accrual


Qualifications/Experience:

  • Accounting degree required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills
  • 3+ years of relevant professional experience required
  • CPA preferred
  • Public Company experience preferred
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong communication skills (including writing skills)
  • Ability to travel domestically (approximately 5%)
  • Ability to work in the US without sponsorship
