Shipping/Receiving Logistics Clerk needed -


We are partnering with our logistics client in South Brunswick, NJ area for a shipping/receiving clerk. Our client is asking for a driven individual capable of managing different accounts while treating each customer as their own. You will coordinate incoming and outgoing shipment activities. Experience in a warehouse setting with a strong work ethic and passion to work hard will allow you to become successful with this growing company.
Duties:

  • Assemble, address, stamp, and ship merchandize or material
  • Unpack, verify, and record incoming merchandise or material
  • Arrange appropriate transportation of products
  • Assist customers with shipping inquiries
  • Request all needed information to receive the goods into the systems
  • Excellent communication with Customer Service Specialists
  • Confirm receiving reports through emails
  • Log all receiving department files into data base
    • Appt schedules
    • time of arriving
    • receiving report
  • Heavy data entry
  • Entry into the systems any inbound shipments
  • Prepare shipments; determine best shipping method
  • Prepare bills of lading and all paperwork associated with shipments
  • Check work orders
  • Maintain routing guides up to date to avoid any charge backs
  • Schedule appointments with carriers to avoid delays and have their goods out in a timely and organized manner
  • AVerifying and keeping records on outgoing shipments
  • Entering orders in our or vendor's website when necessary
  • Making sure expedite orders get shipped quickly
  • Prepare all invoices for all shipped orders
  • Ensure items received are correct and receive items aaginst issued POs
  • Inspected all items or orders against POs
  • Record all shipping information in related reports or systems
  • Ensure daily paperwork is correct and turn paperwork into accounting at the end of each day
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned
  • Assist on breakdowns on Receiving/Shipping Docks
  • Confirm shortages, overages, unmarked partial and damages


SKILLS:

  • Previous experience in shipping, logistics and other related fields
  • Ability to handle physical workload
  • Exception verbal and written communication
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
  • Solid problem solving & decision making skills
  • Ability to work OT as needed
  • Proficient Microsoft Office Skills
