Job Description

A law firm in the New Brunswick area that provides a culture of professional excellence through a team of high caliber employees. As a full-service law firm committed to success, we are seeking  2 Full-time Legal Assistants to join our Medical Malpractice team.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Acting as a point of contact between attorney(s) and clients/employees
  • Drafting and editing legal documents and correspondence
  • Managing attorney(s) calendar by planning and scheduling meetings, conferences, teleconferences and travel
  • Managing phone calls and emails for the attorney(s)
  • Transcribing dictation
  • Proactively anticipating the attorney’s needs and being engaged in their activities
  • Following up on any outstanding assignments/projects

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Must have 2-5 years of insurance defense litigation experience
  • Experience in Medical Malpractice highly preferred
  • Must have knowledge of federal and state court filing requirements
  • Must be highly motivated, organized, detail oriented, and able to work independently
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills along with great interpersonal skills
  • Must be computer savvy with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
