Job Description


Perform routine accounting duties such as maintenance of the general ledger, preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports and accounts payable or receivable functions. Maintains and records business transactions, and other accounting matters as needed. Duties performed require considerable confidentiality, initiative, tact, and mature and independent judgment. This position requires flexibility, dependability, and accountability.

Accounting Duties:

  • Perform and analyze month-end closing activities such as preparing and reviewing bank reconciliations and journal entries
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheet, profit and loss
  • Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions
  • Prepare checks and coordinate check runs with other team members as well as wire transfers and ACH transactions
  • Prepare schedules and assist with requests for year-end audits and tax reporting
  • Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
  • Files, maintains, and distributes accounting documents, records and reports
  • Data entry as bookkeeping and record keeping
  • Support team in completing special projects, ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests
  • Utilize time management skills to coordinate work flow

Administrative Assistant Duties - Temporary:

  • Provide administrative, organizational, and scheduling structure and support to the CEO
  • Act as a liaison between CEO and stakeholders
  • Maintain appointment phone log, schedules and calendars, provide reminders as appropriate, and coordinate travel arrangements for CEO and family
  • Coordinate and organize meetings, including notification to prospective attendees, set-up, pre- and post-meeting correspondence including any required follow up
  • Represent the CEO to the public, businesses and other agencies at his request
  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned


  • BS/BA in accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in accounting is desired
  • Highly proficient QuickBooks skills and other computer applications including Microsoft Office
  • Strong familiarity with financial reporting: balance sheet, profit & loss.
  • Advanced data entry skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Ability to identify needs, provide prompt response, exercise patience, respect, and professionalism at all times
  • Skill in independently prioritizing, planning, coordinating, organizing, leading, and monitoring multiple projects at one time
  • Skill in communicating effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to exercise tact and discretion in preparing, handling, and disclosing information of a confidential, controversial, and/or sensitive nature
