Job Description



We are currently partnered with a Hartford area law firm seeking a Document Processor /HIGHLY SKILLED MICROSOFT WORD POWER USER that will report the IT Trainer & Document Processing Supervisor.
Responsible for typing, editing and printing various documents, correspondence and presentations via the Firm's designated software programs. While working closely and collaboratively with legal practice groups and staff, the Document Processor plays an important role in the production of high-quality legal documents for delivery to the Firm's clients.
Essential Functions and Specific Responsibilities:
Document Proficiency - Demonstrates a solid understanding and proficiency when working on document assignments submitted for processing.
Technology Proficiency - Demonstrates an advanced level of skill and expert knowledge in the use of software applications and equipment specific to the production of professional, high quality legal documents.
Time Management - Focus on the work that needs to be completed while being mindful to use time effectively and productively to complete work accurately and within defined timeframes.
Customer Service - Demonstrates precise and expeditious customer service to internal clients. Is professional, responsive, and positive in customer interactions.
Professionalism - Demonstrates a high degree of respectability, diplomacy and tact in the execution of the responsibilities of the job. Carries oneself in a manner befitting of the Firm's culture.
Project Work - Able to demonstrate skill and expertise in processing and handling various project work assignments.
Collegiality - Embraces a "One Firm" mentality. Acts as an ambassador of the Firm both internally and externally, working as part of a team to achieve the common goals of the Practice Group or Administrative Department and the Firm as a whole.
Collaboration - Works together to achieve a common benefit for the Firm; the transfer of knowledge in cooperation with others. Demonstrates a helpfulness in sharing talents with others, and lending assistance.

Job Requirements
  • High school diploma required.
  • Excellent word processing and data entry skills.
  • Type 70 -80 wpm without errors.
  • Highly skilled at organization, detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency on computer using the entire Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to quickly grasp new software programs is essential.
  • Desktop publishing duties as needed.
  • Transcribe dictations for attorneys/paralegals.
  • Trouble shoot departmental hardware
  • Maintain log for tracking documents.
  • Ability to work well with all levels of personnel.
  • Able to work well under pressure of time/work volume.
  • Demonstrates high flexibility, able to shift gears and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Maintain a neat and organized desk and working environment.
  • Client-service mindset and the willingness to handle any task, large or small.
