Job Description

This position will report to the Chief Financial Officer and work closely with the Controller on several key initiatives.

  • The Payroll Administrator will be based out of our NJ Office, but will be required to travel to the NYC office as needed
  • This is a part-time position that will require up to 20 hours per week


  • Help with processing and completing payroll for 130+ employees
  • Organize, maintain, and update employee wage, tax and personal information in ADP system
  • Correspondence with ADP representatives on related payroll issues
  • Enter and follow up on Direct Deposit Information
  • Maintain security and confidentiality of all information
  • Preparation of year end payroll reports for audits (Insurance audits); General Liability and Workman's Compensation
  • Monthly employee overtime checks
  • Semi-monthly, quarterly and year end reporting to ADP on Section 125 & 401k Plans
  • Year-end Verification of W-2's
  • TransitChek administration
  • Employee Benefit maintenance
  • Address employee payroll inquiries and submit data changes
  • Payroll Administration for related company
  • Additional responsibilities and special projects as directed by the CFO & the Controller


  • Minimum of 3 years experience with payroll administration and processing
  • Proficient in ADP and Excel
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to work with all levels of the organization
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Flexible and willing to cross-train and contribute to other functions in the department as needed
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify issues and create action plans as needed
  • Able to maintain confidentiality, set priorities, meet deadlines and schedules, be detail oriented and adapt to changing priorities
